Job Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end civil engineering execution for the company's brownfield expansion the recent corn oil extraction unit and associated facilities from design/drawing review through construction, testing and handover.
- Plan, schedule and supervise all civil works at site: equipment/machine foundations (including process and rotating-equipment foundations), RCC structures, plant buildings, storage tanks/silos, roads and drainage, boundary/compound walls, and civil works for utilities (water, effluent treatment, fire-fighting).
- Lead and manage the on-site civil execution team engineers, supervisors, contractors and labour ensuring adequate resourcing, productivity and site discipline at all times.
- Review architectural/structural (GFC) drawings and BOQs, and coordinate with design consultants/structural engineers to resolve site queries and design clarifications promptly.
- Carry out civil coordination across all levels and functions of the project — process, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation teams, project management, statutory authorities, contractors and vendors — to ensure clash-free, on-schedule execution.
- Plan and monitor construction schedules (bar chart / MS Project / Primavera), track progress against plan, and proactively flag and resolve delays or resource constraints.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with relevant IS codes, approved specifications and good construction practice at every stage — excavation, PCC/RCC, formwork, reinforcement, concreting, curing and finishing.
- Implement and enforce site safety (EHS) practices for all civil works, in line with statutory requirements and company policy.
- Prepare and maintain all necessary project reports and documentation: daily progress reports (DPRs), weekly/monthly progress reports, measurement sheets, material reconciliation statements, RA bill verification, quality/test records,



as-built drawings and other documents required for internal review, audit or statutory purposes.
- Verify contractor measurement books (MB) and certify running-account (RA) bills, supporting the commercial/procurement team in vendor bill processing.
- Liaise with statutory authorities and third-party inspection/testing agencies for approvals, NOCs and certifications related to civil works.
- Support cost control and budgeting for the civil scope, tracking actual spend against budget and flagging variances to project management.
- Ensure timely completion of the civil scope of work to support the overall commissioning schedule of the corn oil plant expansion.

Experience & Qualification

- Minimum 7 years of experience in civil engineering execution on industrial/process-plant projects (greenfield or brownfield), with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of civil works from foundation to handover.
- Prior experience in the construction of an ENA (Extra Neutral Alcohol) plant or an ethanol/grain-based distillery will be considered a strong added advantage.
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (a Diploma holder with extensive, directly relevant industrial-project experience may also be considered).
- Proven experience leading and managing site civil teams — engineers, supervisors and contractor workforce — across the full lifecycle of an industrial project.
- Strong working knowledge of civil execution for process/industrial plants: equipment and machine foundations, RCC structures, storage tanks, plant buildings, roads, drainage and utility civil works.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and maintain accurate project documentation — DPRs, progress reports, measurement books, bill certification, as-built records, and quality/statutory documentation.
- Proven track record of civil coordination across all levels of a project — internal engineering/project teams, contractors, design consultants and statutory authorities.
- Working knowledge of relevant IS codes, construction quality standards and site safety practices.
- Proficiency with MS Project/Primavera (scheduling), MS Excel/Word for reporting, and AutoCAD for drawing review is preferred.
