Senior Backend Engineer AWS Infrastructure & System Design (Loan Management Systems)

About the Role

We're looking for a senior engineer who can own the complete AWS infrastructure for our lending platform end-to-end — designing systems from scratch, troubleshooting production issues independently, and mentoring the team through solutions. This is a hands-on architecture and infrastructure role, not just a coding role: you'll be the person the team turns to when something breaks in production and no one knows why yet.

Key Responsibilities

- Design systems from scratch for Loan Management System (LMS) modules — architecture, data flow, scalability, and failure handling
- Own AWS infrastructure end-to-end: Lambda, S3, Redis/ElastiCache, SNS/SQS, API Gateway, RDS — provisioning, scaling, cost, and reliability
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis on production issues independently, digging through logs, infra, and code across the stack
- Set up monitoring, alerting, and observability (CloudWatch, X-Ray) to catch issues before they escalate
- Provide technical solutions and unblock the team on complex distributed systems problems
- Architect and optimize systems handling large-scale data (high transaction volumes, large datasets, high-throughput workflows)
- Work hands-on with distributed technologies — caching,



queuing, event-driven and asynchronous processing patterns
- Guide backend development in .NET/C# (latest version) and support frontend integration with React.js/Tailwind
- Manage CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) for automated deployment
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL data models for lending workflows
- Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams on technical strategy and delivery

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET (latest version) / C#, and working knowledge of React.js / Tailwind
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL
- Hands-on expertise with AWS: Lambda, S3, Redis/ElastiCache, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC/networking
- Experience with Azure CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation
- Proven experience designing systems from scratch and independently troubleshooting production issues at scale
- Hands-on exposure to distributed systems technologies and large-scale data environments
- Must have worked on Loan Management Systems (LMS) within an NBFC or Bank, in the lending business
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable as an escalation point for the team

Positive to Have
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience (CloudFormation/Terraform) and container orchestration (ECS/EKS)
- Exposure to credit bureau/KYC integrations and RBI/NBFC compliance norms
