Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Python, Playwright, and WebdriverIO to support end-to-end testing and automation initiatives for enterprise applications in a banking environment.

The candidate should have strong experience in Manual + Automation Testing, UAT testing, SQL, CI/CD, Jenkins, and automated test reporting.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with Business Analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, identify gaps, manage risks, and ensure high-quality releases.

Mandatory Requirements

Candidates must have hands-on experience with ALL of the following:

- 3+ years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
- Hands-on experience with WebdriverIO Mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright using Python Mandatory.
- Strong Python programming skills, including underlying libraries and coding constructs used for automation.
- Robust understanding and hands-on experience of UAT testing.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write effective SQL queries and integrate database validation with automation code.
- Hands-on experience with Kibana and ELK Stack for automated test reporting/monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in automated test execution reporting, including detailed failure and blocked-rate reporting.
- Strong understanding of functional and business requirements, test scenario design, test case design, execution, defect management, retesting, and validation.




- Experience collaborating with Business Analysts and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify gaps, and assess project risks.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation

- Develop and maintain high-quality automation solutions using Python, Playwright, and WebdriverIO.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain automation scripts and supporting frameworks.
- Execute automated and manual test scenarios across application releases.
- Analyze automated execution results and provide detailed reporting of failures, blocked tests, and overall execution status.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage, stability, and execution efficiency.

UAT & Functional Testing
- Analyze business and functional requirements.
- Design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute test plans and validate application functionality against defined requirements.
- Perform end-to-end UAT testing and support business validation activities.
- Identify requirement gaps and clarify points of confusion with Business Analysts and business stakeholders.
- Perform retesting and validation after defects are fixed.

Database & Reporting
- Write effective SQL queries for data validation.
- Integrate SQL/database validations with automation code where required.
- Develop and enhance automated reporting frameworks using Kibana / ELK Stack.
- Prepare detailed automation execution reports covering failures,



blocked tests, and execution status.

CI/CD
- Integrate and execute automation suites through Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support continuous integration and continuous testing practices.
- Identify automation execution issues and support failure recovery.

Stakeholder & Project Collaboration
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
- Provide regular testing progress and status updates to Onsite and Offshore Test Managers.
- Develop action plans for identified areas of improvement.
- Communicate project risks, issues, testing progress, and dependencies to stakeholders.
- Support timely issue resolution and successful project delivery.
- Ensure testing activities follow applicable organizational, banking, and regulatory policies.

Candidates with only Selenium experience, or candidates with Playwright but without WebdriverIO/Python experience, may not be considered.
