Role Description The Senior AR Executive is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing accounts receivable activities within the medical billing and RCM process. This role involves monitoring aging reports, prioritizing and following up on outstanding claims, and coordinating denial management and AR recovery efforts to improve collections and cash flow.

The Senior AR Executive will review claim statuses with payers, initiate appeals when needed, and ensure timely resolution of underpayments, rejections, and denials. Day-to-day tasks include working closely with billing and coding teams, updating account notes in the practice management system, preparing regular AR performance reports,



and recommending process improvements to reduce future denials. The role also requires maintaining compliance with payer and regulatory guidelines and communicating clearly with clients regarding claim status and financial outcomes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong accounts receivable and denial management skills, including AR follow-up, aging analysis, and recovery of outstanding claims.
- Candidates should possess experience in medical billing and coding processes, including claim submission, payment posting, and reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of US healthcare regulations, payer policies, and insurance verification and eligibility workflows.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with practice management systems, RCM tools, and spreadsheets for tracking claims and reporting.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills to identify root causes of denials and implement corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with payers, internal teams, and clients in a professional manner.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and handle high-volume workloads.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in medical AR and RCM; prior experience in a senior AR or similar role in US healthcare is highly preferred.
