Job Description – Production Supervisor

Position: Production Supervisor
Department: Production / Manufacturing
Experience: 2–5 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or related field

Key Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day production activities and ensure smooth shop-floor operations.
Allocate manpower and monitor workforce productivity.
Achieve daily/weekly production targets as per the production plan.
Monitor production processes, machine utilization, and material availability.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and minimize rejection, rework, and wastage.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and PPC departments.
Maintain production reports, shift records, and other required documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies on the shop floor.
Identify production issues and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.




Train and guide operators and workmen for improved productivity and process discipline.
Implement 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills
Robust shop-floor management and team-handling skills.
Good knowledge of production processes and manufacturing operations.
Ability to achieve production targets under pressure.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Basic knowledge of quality and safety standards.
Valuable communication and coordination skills.

Preferred
Experience in a manufacturing/engineering industry.
Hands-on experience in handling production manpower and shift operations.
Knowledge of ERP/MIS and production reporting will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
