VMC (Vertical Machining Centre) Operator

Key Responsibilities
Machine Setup: Load raw materials, position fixtures, and install cutting tools into the machine.
Offsets & Programs: Set work and tool offsets, load programs, and run test cycles (proving out) to verify accuracy.
Operation & Monitoring: Oversee production runs, listen for unusual tool sounds, and adjust feeds or speeds as needed.
Quality Inspection: Use precision tools like Vernier callipers, micrometres, and height gauges to check finished parts against blueprints.
Maintenance: Clean the machine, check coolant levels, and report mechanical issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Education: ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter, or Machinist.
Code Knowledge: Understanding of G-codes and M-codes.
Controller Familiarity: Experience with control systems like Fanuc, Siemens, or Haas.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to read 2D/3D engineering drawings and tolerances.
Experience: Typically, 1 to 5 years of shop floor, Toolroom experience.
CTC: 3.5 lakh to 4.25 lakh
