Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sr.

Analyst

Chemical & Analytical Laboratory with robust hands-on experience in GC-MS analysis for testing of consumer products (Textile, Polymer, Leather & Footwear). The candidate will be responsible for competency in sample preparation, instrumental analysis, method execution/optimization/Validation, data interpretation, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance of NABL/ISO 17025/ BIS /Handling Byer Audit Testing Demonstration, Documentation with applicable test methods and laboratory quality requirements. as well Ability to work effectively in a testing laboratory environment and meet agreed turnaround times. Ability to independently operate and troubleshoot GC-MS. Good communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform GC-MS analysis of consumer product samples as per approved methods, customer requirements, and applicable international standards.
- Handle routine and non-routine chemical analysis involving GC-MS, including instrument operation, tuning, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Carry out sample preparation, extraction, derivatization, and clean-up procedures as applicable.
- Analyze and interpretation chromatograms, mass spectra, retention times, ion ratios, and other analytical data.
- Perform method verification, method optimization, precision/accuracy studies, and assist in method validation activities.
- Investigate abnormal results, instrument issues, PT/QC failures, and analytical discrepancies and support to root-cause analysis (RCA).




- Maintain proper Instrument calibration schedule external / In-house verification/ Preventive Maintenance along with Technical analytical records, worksheets, chromatograms, raw data, and instrument logs in accordance with laboratory procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, laboratory SOPs, and applicable customer/test-method requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain laboratory readiness for customer and accreditation assessments.
- Coordinate with laboratory colleagues and other technical teams for timely completion of testing and reporting.
- Ensure proper handling of Certified reference material standards management with maintain the record.
- Provide technical support to junior analysts and assist in troubleshooting analytical issues.

Desired Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience in GC-MS.
- Good knowledge of chromatographic principles and mass spectrometry.
- Experience with GC-MS data processing and spectral library interpretation.
- Knowledge of sample extraction and matrix challenges and resolution techniques for consumer products.
- Understanding of calibration, QC, system suitability, spike, recovery, precision and accuracy requirements.
- Exposure to analytical method validation/verification and measurement uncertainty.
- Knowledge of chemical testing requirements applicable to consumer products, textiles, footwear, plastics, polymers, packaging or other consumer goods will be an advantage.
- Experience with other analytical instruments such as GC-MS, GC-HS, HPLC, LC-MS/MS, ICP-OES/ICP-MS will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

- M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in an analytical/testing laboratory will be preferred.
