About the Role

We are an architectural and design firm seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage our financial operations. You will oversee day-to-day accounting, ensure statutory compliance, and provide accurate financial reporting, with a focus on project-based costing and billing typical of the architecture industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Maintain complete books of accounts, including general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor, consultant, and contractor payments
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing

Project & Billing Management

- Prepare and track client invoices based on project milestones and design stages
- Monitor project-wise budgets, costs, and profitability
- Track retainers, advances, and outstanding receivables; follow up on collections

Compliance & Taxation

- Ensure timely GST, TDS, and other statutory filings and payments
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for audits and assessments
- Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory requirements

Payroll & Administration

- Process monthly payroll, including salary calculations, deductions,



and statutory contributions (PF, ESI, PT)
- Manage staff reimbursements and expense claims

Reporting & Analysis

- Prepare monthly MIS reports, cash flow statements, and financial summaries for management
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and flag financial risks

Team & Process

- Guide and review the work of junior accounting staff
- Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (M.Com, MBA Finance, or CA Inter preferred)
- 1.5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of Tally (Tally Prime/ERP 9) and MS Excel
- Solid understanding of GST, TDS, and Indian accounting standards
- Experience in project-based accounting is highly preferred

- Prior experience in architecture, interior design, construction, or a professional services firm
- Familiarity with project costing and milestone-based billing
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work with partners, clients, and vendors
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
