Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct audits of gold loan branches and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Verify gold ornaments, purity, weight, valuation, and loan-to-value (LTV) calculations.
Check gold custody, storage, security, and physical stock against system records.
Review loan documentation, KYC, sanction, disbursement, and repayment processes.
Identify discrepancies, operational gaps, process violations, and potential fraud risks.
Conduct surprise audits and branch-level checks as per the audit plan.
Verify cash, gold packets, registers, vouchers, and other branch records.
Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting observations, risks, and corrective actions.
Follow up with branches on closure of audit observations.
Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with branch teams, operations, credit, and compliance teams during audits.
