Core Responsibilities
BOQ & Quantity Take-offs: Study architectural and structural drawings to calculate exact material, equipment, and labor quantities.
Tendering & Costing: Prepare competitive bid proposals, cost estimates, and rate analyses using standard guidelines (e.g., MORTH/IRC for infrastructure).
Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Evaluate vendor quotations, compare contractor offers, and support commercial negotiations.
Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving alternatives and design optimizations without reducing project quality.
Billing & Records: Support client and subcontractor bill preparation, maintain cost databases,
and track market rate fluctuations. [1, 2, 3]
Key Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering.
Experience: 2 to 6+ years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, or real estate cost estimation.
Skills: Proficient in reading drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQ) preparation, rate analysis, and Microsoft Excel or estimation softwareRole & responsibilities
