Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst

Location: India, remote

Schedule: Rotating day and night shifts, including holidays. The rotation includes some working weekends and some weekends off. Shifts are expected to be no longer than 10 hours.

About the role

We are hiring a SOC Officer to help monitor client security systems and respond when something needs attention. Our AI assisted tools will handle much of the routine analysis. Your job is to review alerts, use sound judgment, and act quickly when a client or our U.S. team needs to get involved.

Many shifts may be quiet. When a reliable alert comes in or a client's call with an urgent issue, you must be ready to investigate, take approved containment steps, and call the appropriate people until the issue is acknowledged. This role requires someone who can stay attentive, communicate clearly, and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

- Monitor incoming security alerts and respond to urgent client calls during your shift.
- Review AI generated findings and investigate alerts that require human judgment.
- Follow procedures to determine the severity of an issue and take approved containment actions, such as isolating an affected computer.
- Call and email clients, U.S. team members,



and other designated contacts when an incident requires immediate attention.
- Continue escalating urgent issues according to procedure until the appropriate person responds.
- Record what happened, whom you contacted, and what actions were taken.
- Provide clear handoffs to the next shift.
- Assist with additional monitoring and operational tasks as the role develops.

Requirements
- Strong spoken and written English, including the ability to explain an urgent technical issue clearly over the phone.
- A working understanding of computers, networks, and basic cybersecurity concepts.
- Good judgment: the ability to recognize when an alert is urgent, follow procedures, and know when to escalate.
- Confidence making phone calls, including waking someone for a time sensitive incident.
- Attention to detail and the ability to stay ready during quiet periods.
- Reliable internet access and a suitable remote workspace.
- Availability for rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Prior SOC, IT support, help desk, or security experience is preferred. Deep cybersecurity expertise is welcome, but the most important qualities are technical aptitude, reliable judgment, and a willingness to act promptly when an incident occurs. We will provide computer equipment and training on our tools and procedures.
