Role Purpose

Responsible for end-to-end raw material planning to ensure uninterrupted production by maintaining optimum inventory levels, coordinating with procurement, production, warehouse, and vendors, and ensuring timely material availability.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and manage Raw Material (RM) planning based on production plans, forecasted demand, and business requirements.
- Execute MRP (Material Requirement Planning) runs and analyze material requirements through SAP/ERP systems.
- Ensure timely availability of APIs, excipients, and other critical raw materials to support production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimum stock levels while balancing inventory carrying costs.
- Coordinate with Procurement teams for purchase order execution and timely material procurement.
- Track supplier commitments and proactively follow up to ensure on-time deliveries.




- Identify material shortages, supply risks, and develop mitigation plans to avoid production disruptions.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Warehouse, QA/QC, and Procurement teams for smooth material flow.
- Analyze slow-moving, non-moving, and aging inventory and drive inventory optimization initiatives.
- Maintain planning master data, lead times, safety stock levels, and planning parameters in ERP.
- Prepare material planning MIS reports, inventory reports, shortage reports, and planning dashboards.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual planning reviews and inventory assessment activities.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, and company SOPs.

Experience Executive: 1- 6 years of experience in Raw Material Planning / Material Planning within the Pharmaceutical industry.
