Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Workflow Consultant to build and maintain the approval and automation layer across modules, including custom workflows, agent determination, event linkage, and migration towards Fiori Inbox and SAP Build Process Automation.

Role Purpose To own workflow design, build, and defect resolution across S/4HANA modules in scope, while keeping approval processes running smoothly without manual intervention.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance custom workflows and approval logic across finance, procurement, and logistics processes

Configure events, tasks, Business Object Repository objects, and rules for dynamic agent determination

Automate and optimise workflow processes across modules

Remove manual approval steps wherever process allows

Debug and resolve complex workflow execution issues, including stuck work items and agent determination failures

Analyse and clear workflow error queues

Implement permanent fixes for recurring workflow failures

Support migration of classic workflows to Fiori Inbox and SAP Build Process Automation

Build and maintain deadline monitoring,



escalation, and substitution rules

Prepare unit and functional test evidence for every workflow transport

Support UAT and end-user training on approval processes

Maintain workflow documentation, agent matrices, and runbooks

Must Have Skills

SAP Business Workflow build and support experience

Hands-on experience in Workflow Builder, tasks, events, BOR, and class-based objects

Agent determination through rules, org structure, and custom function modules

ABAP skills to write and debug workflow classes, methods, and function modules

Live troubleshooting experience on stuck work items and event linkage failures

Hands-on knowledge of SWI1, SWEL, SWU3, and SWPR

Understanding of at least one approval-heavy process end to end

Experience in purchase requisition release, invoice approval, or master data change process

Experience in Level 3 / Level 4 application support

Solid troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills

SAP Build Process Automation or Workflow Management on BTP

Fiori My Inbox configuration and extension

OpenText VIM workflow exposure

SAP Business Workflow advanced configuration training

SAP Certified Development Associate — ABAP for SAP S/4HANA

SAP Build Process Automation / Workflow Management certification
