Job Summary

We are looking for a senior, hands-on SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash (OTC) Lead Functional Analyst with 12+ years of SAP SD/OTC experience to support an SAP RISE upgrade initiative.

The candidate must have strong SAP S/4HANA OTC functional expertise and hands-on S/4HANA upgrade experience, including experience analyzing and resolving upgrade-related defects.

The resource will act as the single Outbound POC for upgrade activities and must be capable of independently owning the workstream, managing stakeholders, coordinating with Outbound Architects and SMEs, and working closely with technical teams to drive issues through resolution.

SAP S/4HANA Upgrade experience is mandatory. SAP RISE Upgrade experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

- 12+ years of hands-on SAP SD / Order-to-Cash experience, with robust SAP S/4HANA exposure.
- Hands-on SAP S/4HANA Upgrade project experience is mandatory.
- Strong end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash functional experience.
- Ability to independently handle business and IT stakeholders and lead functional discussions.
- Ability to act as the single Outbound POC and independently own and drive upgrade-related activities.
- Hands-on experience analyzing and fixing upgrade defects from a functional perspective.
- Experience working closely with ABAP and other technical teams to identify root causes and resolve upgrade-related issues.




- Ability to coordinate effectively with Outbound Architects, SMEs, technical teams, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong functional troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Strong ownership with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with upgrade impact assessment, regression testing, defect management, and post-upgrade stabilization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as the single Outbound/OTC POC for all assigned upgrade tasks and activities.
- Independently lead the SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash/Outbound workstream.
- Manage business and IT stakeholders independently and drive discussions, decisions, and actions to closure.
- Coordinate closely with Outbound Architects, SMEs, ABAP/technical teams, integration teams, and other functional teams.
- Take hands-on ownership of analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving S/4HANA upgrade-related functional defects.
- Work closely with technical teams to perform root-cause analysis and implement appropriate solutions for upgrade defects.
- Assess the impact of upgrade changes on existing OTC processes, configurations, enhancements, interfaces, integrations, reports, and forms.
- Lead functional testing, SIT, regression testing, UAT support, defect resolution, and deployment readiness.
- Manage dependencies and integration points with FI, MM, EWM/WM, logistics, and other SAP modules.
- Prepare and review functional specifications and work with technical teams on required developments and enhancements.
- Track risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables and proactively drive them to closure.
- Provide regular status updates to project leadership and escalate critical issues as required.
- Support cutover, deployment, hypercare, and post-upgrade stabilization activities.

Required SAP SD / OTC Functional Skills

- Strong hands-on experience across the end-to-end OTC process, including:
- Sales Order → Delivery → Picking/Packing → PGI → Billing
- Sales document types
- Item categories and schedule line categories
- Copy control
- Pricing procedures and condition techniques
- Partner determination
- Text and output determination/management
- Incompletion procedures
- Availability Check / ATP
- Shipping and delivery processing
- Billing and invoice processing
- Returns, credit/debit memos, and cancellations
- Credit management
- Account determination
- Business Partner and SD master data in S/4HANA
- Outbound logistics and integration with WM/EWM
- Strong integration knowledge across SD-FI, SD-MM, SD-WM/EWM, and related logistics processes
- Troubleshooting of IDocs, interfaces, output issues,



and integration failures related to OTC
- Root-cause analysis of complex functional and cross-module issues

SAP S/4HANA Upgrade Experience – Mandatory

- The candidate must have hands-on experience supporting an SAP S/4HANA upgrade, including:
- Performing functional impact analysis for S/4HANA upgrade changes.
- Analyzing and resolving upgrade-related SD/OTC defects.
- Identifying impacts on existing configuration, enhancements, custom developments, interfaces, and integrations.
- Working with ABAP/technical teams to troubleshoot and remediate upgrade-related issues.
- Executing and supporting unit testing, SIT, regression testing, and UAT.
- Validating critical end-to-end OTC processes following an upgrade.
- Supporting cutover, deployment, hypercare, and post-upgrade stabilization.
- Managing defects through analysis, resolution, testing, and closure.

Lead Functional Analyst Skills

- Ability to independently gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Perform fit-gap and impact analysis and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare clear and detailed functional specifications for developments and enhancements.
- Work effectively with ABAP developers, integration teams, Architects, SMEs, and other functional consultants.
- Strong experience with configuration, unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect management.
- Ability to assess existing customizations and determine their impact during an S/4HANA upgrade.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to independently lead business, technical, Architect, and SME discussions.
- Ability to drive decisions, actions, issues, and dependencies through closure.
- Strong ownership and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience coordinating offshore/onshore and cross-functional teams.

Preferred / Good to Have

- SAP RISE Upgrade experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience working in an SAP RISE environment.
- Experience with large-scale or complex S/4HANA upgrade programs.
- Experience coordinating multiple functional and technical teams during an upgrade.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and integration landscape.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be a senior, hands-on SAP S/4HANA SD/OTC Functional Lead with 12+ years of experience and hands-on S/4HANA upgrade experience.

The resource must be capable of taking complete ownership of the Outbound/OTC workstream, serving as the single Outbound POC for upgrade activities, independently managing stakeholders, coordinating with Outbound Architects and SMEs, and working hands-on with technical teams to analyze and resolve upgrade defects.

The candidate should be comfortable working independently and driving activities from analysis through resolution, testing, and closure with minimal supervision.
