– SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) Application Track Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Solution Architect to lead the Sales and Logistics track. This role is responsible for end-to-end solution architecture, delivery assurance, competency and capability building for the SD track, and active involvement in pre-sales. The Solution Architect will act as the design authority across SAP S/4HANA programs and will play a key role in scaling consulting maturity within the organization.

Key Responsibilities – Finance Solution Architecture & Roadmapping

- Design SAP S/4HANA Finance architecture covering FI, CO, Asset Accounting, Treasury, and Group Reporting.
- Drive adoption of advanced finance capabilities such as SAP ICMR, Advanced Financial Closing (AFC), Margin Analysis, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning, and Management of Bank Communication (MBC).
- Align finance transformation journeys with GROW with SAP and RISE with SAP initiatives.
- Leverage SAP BTP for finance extensions, side-by-side applications, event-driven scenarios, and integrations.

Cross-Module & Technical Integration
- Architect integrated finance processes across SD, MM, PP, PS, EWM, and external systems.
- Enable real-time and batch integration using SLT, APIs, and SAP BTP integration services.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP,



and country-specific localization requirements.

Solution Delivery & Governance
- Lead SAP FICO delivery across greenfield, brownfield, and rollout programs.
- Own design governance, quality assurance, and architectural sign-offs.
- Oversee testing cycles, cutover planning, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.

Finance Transformation & Business Outcomes
- Drive finance transformation focused on faster financial close, improved working capital, and real-time reporting.
- Define and govern finance KPIs such as Days to Close, Manual Journal Entry Ratio, Intercompany Reconciliation Cycle Time, and Reporting Timeliness.
- Ensure SAP designs directly support controllership, audit readiness, and executive decision-making.

GROW, RISE & RUN (AMS) Ownership
- Define fit-to-standard and clean-core principles for cloud-led SAP Finance implementations.
- Ensure solutions are transition-ready from project delivery to Hypercare and AMS.
- Build finance AMS playbooks covering close operations, compliance controls, and continuous improvement.

Pre-Sales & Client Advisory
- Act as Finance Solution Architect during RFP and proposal stages.
- Lead solution discovery workshops and finance roadmap discussions.
- Support estimations, commercials, PoCs, and executive presentations.

Practice, Capability & People Development




- Build and scale the SAP Finance practice, including offerings, accelerators, and reference architectures.
- Mentor and coach consultants across experience levels.
- Support hiring, upskilling, certification, and succession planning.

Key Skills & Expertise
- 15–16 relevant years SAP FICO experience, including min. 5+ years in architecture/lead roles.
- S/4HANA, ICMR, AFC, SAC Planning, and Group Reporting hands-on delivery.
- Central Finance, Greenfield, or Brownfield migration experience preferred.
- Strong expertise in GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, CO-OM, CO-PC, and Margin Analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Financial Closing Cockpit, Embedded Analytics, Fiori, and SAC.
- Experience with Central Finance, migrations, and global rollouts.

Education & Certifications
- CA, CPA, MBA (Finance), or master’s degree in accounting / finance / IT.
- SAP S/4HANA Finance and Management Accounting certifications.
- Group Reporting, SAC, and ICMR certifications preferred.
