SAP FI/CO Support Consultant (L1/L2)

Role Summary

We are looking for an SAP FI/CO Support Consultant with 2–5 years of hands-on experience handling L1/L2 incidents and service requests in Financial Accounting and Controlling. The consultant will resolve issues within defined SLAs, analyze recurring problems, and work closely with business users and technical teams in a fast-paced support environment.

Key Responsibilities

Handle L1/L2 incidents and service requests across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Cost Center Accounting within agreed SLA timelines.

Troubleshoot posting errors, payment run (F110) issues, vendor/customer line item and clearing issues, dunning, and open item management.

Support asset-related activities such as acquisitions, transfers, retirements, and depreciation runs.

Support cost center planning, assessment/distribution cycles, and settlement issues.

Provide month-end and year-end closing support,



including period open/close and reconciliation issues.

Perform root cause analysis on recurring incidents and recommend permanent fixes or configuration changes.

Coordinate with ABAP, Basis, and integration teams for technical issues, and with end users for clarification and testing.

Document resolutions, SOPs, and known errors to build and maintain the knowledge base.

Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.

Required Skills

2–5 years of SAP FI/CO experience, with at least one support project.

Strong functional knowledge of GL, AP, AR, AA, and CCA, including related configuration.

Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (Universal Journal concepts).

Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.

Understanding of FI integration with MM and SD.

Positive communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Good to Have

ITIL Foundation certification or working knowledge of ITIL.

SAP FI or CO certification.

Exposure to Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, or CO-PA.

Willingness to support shifts or on-call for critical periods
