Role Overview The SAP BO migration (from BI 4.3 to SAP Business Objects BI 2025) consultant will be responsible for leading the end-to-end migration of BusinessObjects (BO) assets, including reports, universes, schedules, and publications. This role requires robust expertise in SAP BO architecture, migration methodologies, and performance optimization, with a focus on ensuring seamless transition, validation, and knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities

- Hands-on experience in migrating SAP BusinessObjects (BO) content from BO 4.x to BI 2025.

- Experience in assessing, migrating, validating, and troubleshooting BO reports, universes, folders, schedules, and related content during migration.

- WebI Report Migration: Assess, migrate, and remediate Web Intelligence (WebI) reports to ensure accuracy and functionality post-migration.

- Universe Conversion: Analyze existing UNV/UNX universes, perform conversions, optimize structures, and validate data integrity.

- Schedule & Publication Migration: Migrate schedules and publications, validate bursting logic, and ensure destination accuracy.

- Dependency Analysis: Conduct report, universe, and schedule dependency analysis,



followed by reconciliation to maintain consistency.

- Testing & Tuning: Provide SIT/UAT support, resolve defects, and perform performance tuning for migrated assets.

- Documentation & Go-Live: Prepare migration documentation, deliver knowledge transfer sessions, and support go-live activities.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects (WebI, Universe Designer, Information Design Tool).

- Expertise in UNV to UNX conversion and optimization.

- Proficiency in report dependency analysis and reconciliation.

- Solid understanding of scheduling, publications, and bursting mechanisms.

- Experience in SIT/UAT support, defect resolution, and performance tuning.

- Excellent documentation and communication skills for client-facing deliverables.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

- 5+ years of experience in SAP BO BI2025 migration projects.

- Prior experience in large-scale migration initiatives is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with BI reporting tools and data governance concepts is a plus.
