SAP ABAP + BW Consultant — Inventory / Supply Chain

Role summary

Hands-on SAP technical consultant combining ABAP development with BW / BW-4HANA data modelling, and enough Inventory Management knowledge to work directly with supply chain stakeholders. The role covers extraction, modelling and reconciliation of inventory and logistics data between ECC / S/4HANA and the reporting layer.

Responsibilities

- Develop and enhance ABAP objects — reports, BADIs, user exits, function modules, IDocs and custom extractors — with a focus on inventory and purchasing.
- Build and support BW models: InfoObjects, ADSOs, CompositeProviders, transformations, DTPs and process chains.
- Own the inventory data flow, including non-cumulative key figures and the 2LIS_03_BX / BF / UM extractors with marker update and compression.
- Manage delta queues, setup tables and LO Cockpit configuration; monitor and fix day-to-day load failures.




- Reconcile BW inventory reports against SAP transactions (MB5B, MB51, MMBE) and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare technical specifications, mappings and test scripts; support UAT and hypercare.

Required

- Solid ABAP: enhancements, BADIs, user exits, debugging and performance tuning.
- Strong SAP BW 7.x / BW-4HANA modelling and delta management.
- Hands-on experience with BW inventory data — non-cumulative key figures and the 2LIS_03 extractor set.
- Functional understanding of MM-IM: movement types, goods receipt / issue, transfer postings, special stocks and valuation.
- Ability to explain and defend stock figures to business users.

Good to have

- S/4HANA, CDS views, AMDP or MATDOC exposure.
- SAP Datasphere, SAC, or downstream platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
- EWM, SLT / ODP, or a BW-4HANA conversion project.
- Power BI or Analysis for Office reporting.
