Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to develop, maintain and support solutions on a live SAP ECC 6.0 environment across SD, MM, Retail and FICO. The role will involve ABAP development, integrations, production support and providing technical support during the organization's S/4HANA transformation.

Key Responsibilities

SAP ABAP Development

Develop and maintain ABAP reports, ALV, executable programs, Smart Forms and dialog programs.

Develop and maintain Function Modules, BAPIs and RFC-enabled functions.

Implement User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs and Enhancement Framework solutions.

Work with ABAP Objects/OOP for new development and code refactoring.

Develop, schedule and monitor background jobs with proper error handling.

Perform performance optimization using efficient SQL/SELECT statements and tools such as SAT, ST05 and SE30.

Debug complex custom and standard SAP code and identify root causes.

SAP Integration

Develop and support integrations using IDocs, RFC, BAPI, SOAP and REST APIs.

Build and maintain file-based inbound/outbound interfaces with validation, error handling and reprocessing.

Troubleshoot IDoc, queue, connectivity and mapping issues.

Support integrations with POS, e-commerce, warehouse and other external systems.

Production Support

Handle SAP incidents and production issues within agreed SLAs.

Perform technical RCA and distinguish between data, configuration and code-related issues.

Implement permanent corrective solutions and document known errors.

Provide critical production support, including occasional out-of-hours support when required.

Maintain technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer.

Enhancements & Change Requests





Analyze requirements with functional consultants and business users.

Prepare technical specifications, estimates and identify dependencies/risks.

Develop, unit-test and transport changes as per change management processes.

Support SIT/UAT, defect analysis and resolution.

Follow coding standards, naming conventions and documentation practices.

S/4HANA Transformation Support

Provide knowledge of existing ECC custom developments, interfaces, dependencies and business usage to the SI/project team.

Identify obsolete, unused or duplicate custom developments for retirement before S/4HANA migration.

Support custom-code assessment and simplification analysis.

Follow code-freeze and dual-maintenance requirements during transformation.

Support SIT, UAT and cutover rehearsals.

Ensure ECC production stability throughout the transformation.

Build familiarity with S/4HANA data models, ADT/Eclipse, CDS Views and Fiori for post-go-live support.

Required Skills

5 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.

Strong experience in SAP ECC 6.0.

ABAP Reports, ALV, Smart Forms, BAPI, RFC, Function Modules.

User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs and Enhancement Framework.

ABAP Objects / OOP.

Robust debugging and performance optimization skills.

IDoc, RFC, BAPI, SOAP/REST and file-based interfaces.

Production support and Root Cause Analysis.

Experience working with SD, MM, Retail and/or FICO environments.

Knowledge of SAP ECC custom-code assessment and S/4HANA transformation.

Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Good to Have

Exposure to S/4HANA, ADT/Eclipse, CDS Views and Fiori.

Experience with POS, e-commerce or warehouse integrations.

Experience working with SI partners during SAP transformation projects.

Singapore time-zone availability.
