Job Title: Senior SAP ABAP Consultant

Location: Noida Corporate Office (Onsite)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with strong experience across Classic ABAP and Up-to-date ABAP technologies used in S/4HANA.

The consultant will serve as the technical developer for custom objects, enhancements, CDS views, and integration APIs while ensuring all developments follow S/4HANA clean‑core principles, performance standards, and validation compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. S/4HANA Development (Modern ABAP)

· Develop CDS Views (Basic, Composite, Analytical), annotations, and custom queries. · Build OData Services using SEGW, RAP Model (Restful ABAP Programming).

· Implement ABAP Restful programming for Fiori apps and S/4HANA extensions.

· Work with BOPF, AMDP, ABAP on HANA, and code pushdown techniques.

· Use Eclipse-based ABAP Development Tools (ADT) for modern development.

1. Classic ABAP Development

· Classic ABAP expertise including · Reports (Classical/Interactive/ALV),

· Interfaces (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs),

· Enhancements (User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs),

· SmartForms, Adobe Forms, Scripts,

· Conversions (BDC, LSMW),

· Dialog programming.

· Debug and optimize existing ECC custom objects for S/4 compliance.

1. S/4HANA Migration & Remediation

· Analyze ECC custom code using SAP ATC, Quick Fix, and SAP Readiness Check. · Adapt custom developments to the Clean Core architecture.

· Support Data Migration with ABAP-based extract/transform/load tools.

· Support conversion of output forms to Adobe Forms.

Integration & API Development

· Build APIs (OData, REST, SOAP) for integration with CPI, PO, and third-party systems. · Support EDI/IDoc enhancements and error handling frameworks.

· Collaborate with functional teams (SD, MM, PP, QM, FI/CO, EWM) to develop robust end-to-end solutions.

1. Performance Optimization & Quality Assurance

· Conduct HANA-optimized performance tuning (SQLM, ST05, SAT, SCI). · Implement Exception/Logging frameworks, reusable components.

· Ensure compliance with GxP/CSV, documentation, and audit trails where applicable.

· Prepare technical specifications, UT scripts, and deployment documentation.

Must-Have Skills

· 5–10 years hands-on SAP ABAP Techno-Functional experience.

· Strong in Classic ABAP: Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, BDC.

· Strong in Modern ABAP (S/4HANA):

o CDS Views o OData Services o RAP Model o AMDP / ADBC o ABAP on HANA

· Proficient in Object-Oriented ABAP.

· Experience in S/4HANA migration or at least one S/4HANA implementation.

· Experience in performance tuning for HANA.

· Good understanding of functional modules (SD/MM/FI/PP/QM).

· Hands-on experience with Eclipse ADT.

· Exposure to Clean Core and Extensibility Framework in S/4HANA.

· Excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities.

Good-to-Have Skills

· Experience with Fiori/UI5 (BAS/WebIDE) is an added advantage.

· Familiarity with SolMan/ChaRM, Jira, or Azure DevOps.

· Knowledge of SAP BTP, CAP, Workflow, and Event Mesh.
