Enterprise Performance

Our Enterprise Performance team is at the forefront of enterprise technology, working across finance, supply chain, and IT operations to support the delivery of holistic performance improvement and digital transformation. We support Deloitte client service teams of strategic advisors and architects, differentiated by our industry depth, to collaborate with leading insights providers and leverage experience in strategy, process design, technology enablement, and operational services to enable the heart of business solutions.

Position Summary

Level: SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) Consultant

As a Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high-quality work products within due timelines, and, on a need basis, mentoring junior team members and liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand functional requirements.

Work You'll Do

SAP BDC Consultant

- Support the design, configuration, and build of SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) solutions, including data foundation, data products, and analytics content
- Assist in data modelling, harmonization, and integration activities across SAP and non-SAP source systems
- Work with functional and technical teams to translate business requirements into technical/functional specifications
- Support development and testing of data pipelines, replication flows, and semantic/analytic models within BDC
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the build and testing phases
- Participate in unit testing, defect resolution, and review processes, including self and peer reviews
- Collaborate with functional teams for issue resolution and track progress using project management tools
- Capture minutes of meetings (MOM) during technical reviews and demonstrate strong attention to detail

Qualifications

SAP BDC Consultant — Must Have Skills

- 2-6 years of hands-on SAP experience, including exposure to SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and 1-2 years of hands-on experience in SAP Datasphere, or SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data structures, CDS views, and embedded analytics
- Exposure to data integration approaches such as SLT, Smart Data Integration (SDI), OData, or SAP Cloud Integration
- Advanced knowledge of data modelling concepts — dimensional models, semantic layers, and data harmonization
- Familiarity with SAP HANA modelling (calculation views) and SQL
- Good understanding of functional/business processes to support technical translation of requirements
- Experience preparing system and technical specification documents
- Good team player with experience working within small to large delivery teams
- Good communication skills, written and verbal

Good To Have Skills

- Ability to architect BDC-centric solutions integrating SAP and non-SAP systems — defining target-state data architecture, integration patterns, data cataloguing, and governance models (preferred for Senior Consultant; optional for Consultant)
- Experience with enterprise data architecture, master data management (MDM), or SAP BTP Integration Suite
- Exposure to SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Enterprise HANA, SAP BTP
- Working knowledge of Python or scripting languages for data engineering and transformation
- SAP certification in Business Data Cloud, Datasphere, or Data & Analytics

Education

- BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from an accredited university
