Role Description The Sales Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Port Blair, responsible for driving revenue growth and building solid relationships with individual guests, travel agents, corporate clients, and event planners. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing sales pipelines, and developing packages for leisure stays, destination weddings, events, and group bookings.

The Sales

Manager will conduct regular client meetings, respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure accurate documentation of bookings and rate agreements. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with marketing to support promotional campaigns, monitoring market trends and competitor activities, preparing sales forecasts and reports,



and coordinating with resort operations to ensure seamless guest experiences. The role also requires actively representing the resort at trade fairs, industry events, and networking activities to enhance brand visibility in domestic and international markets.

Qualifications

- Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, client relationship management, and contract negotiation.
- Experience in hospitality or travel industry sales, with knowledge of leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), and destination wedding segments.
- Proficiency in communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare clear proposals and conduct persuasive sales pitches.
- Ability to analyze market trends, prepare sales reports, and use CRM or sales management tools to track performance.
- Organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple bookings, events, and partnerships while maintaining attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort working on-site in Port Blair, with flexibility to travel to Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep) and attend client meetings or events as needed.
- Previous experience in resort, hotel, or travel agency sales is highly beneficial; multilingual abilities are an advantage.
