We are looking for a responsible and experienced Safety Officer to ensure safe working practices across LPG & PNG pipeline installation and project sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with company and applicable safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor HSE policies and safety procedures at project and work sites.

- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.

- Ensure safe working practices during LPG & PNG pipeline installation, testing, and commissioning.

- Conduct Toolbox Talks, Safety Inductions, and daily safety briefings for workers and site staff.

- Ensure proper use of PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, gloves, goggles, harnesses, and other required equipment.

- Monitor hot work, excavation, work at height, confined space, lifting, and other high-risk activities.

- Ensure proper implementation of work permits and safety precautions before starting hazardous activities.

- Monitor gas-related hazards and ensure appropriate precautions are followed during LPG/PNG work.

- Conduct emergency preparedness drills and ensure emergency response procedures are understood by site personnel.

- Report and investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.

- Maintain safety inspection reports, incident records, training records,



and other HSE documentation.

- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, contractors, and workers regarding safety matters.

- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe storage/handling of materials and equipment.

- Stop unsafe work when necessary and immediately report responsible safety violations to management.

- Conduct regular safety training and awareness programs for employees and workers.

- Monitor compliance with applicable statutory, client, and company safety requirements.

- Assist management in implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of LPG & PNG pipeline safety practices.

- Knowledge of gas pipeline installation and construction-site hazards.

- Good understanding of PPE, Permit-to-Work, Toolbox Talks, Risk Assessment, JSA/JHA, and HSE procedures.

- Good incident reporting and investigation skills.

- Strong communication and leadership skills.

- Ability to work effectively with site teams, contractors, and workers.

- Good documentation and reporting skills.

- Ability to handle emergency situations responsibly.

Qualification

- Diploma / Degree in Engineering or relevant field.

- Diploma/Certificate in Industrial Safety / NEBOSH / IOSH will be an added advantage.

- Relevant experience in LPG, PNG, gas pipeline, construction, MEP, or industrial projects preferred.
