Role Description The Safety Officer (PDIS) role is a full-time, in office position based in Navsari.

The Safety

Officer will oversee daily implementation of health, safety, and security procedures across the facility, ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements.

Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards, monitoring use of personal protective equipment, and supporting occupational health initiatives. The role involves carrying out accident investigations, preparing incident reports, recommending corrective actions, and following up on their implementation.

The Safety

Officer will deliver safety training sessions, maintain safety documentation, coordinate emergency preparedness drills,



and collaborate with operations teams to promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health practices relevant to industrial, mining, or manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated experience in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
- Familiarity with Security procedures and protocols within industrial facilities.
- Ability to design and deliver effective Safety Training programs for employees at different levels.
- PDIS (Post Diploma in Industrial Safety) or equivalent recognized safety qualification.
- Good understanding of local and national safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Effective communication, documentation, and report-writing skills.
- Attention to detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience as a safety officer or in a similar role in manufacturing, mining, or heavy industry is preferred.
