1. Safety Management

· Implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures across the plant.

· Conduct regular safety inspections, workplace audits, and safety observations.

· Identify unsafe conditions and unsafe practices and ensure timely corrective actions.

· Monitor compliance with applicable safety rules, procedures, and statutory requirements.

· Maintain safety records, registers, checklists, and documentation.

· Conduct toolbox talks and daily/weekly safety awareness activities.

· Promote a strong safety culture among employees, contractors, and visitors.

2. Accident & Incident Management

· Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences.

· Prepare incident/accident reports and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

· Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

· Monitor closure of safety-related action points.

· Maintain accident, near-miss, and incident statistics.

3. Safety Training & Development

· Prepare and implement the annual Safety Training Calendar.

· Conduct induction safety training for current employees, trainees, and contract workers.

· Identify training needs through Training Need Identification (TNI).

· Conduct training on PPE, fire safety, emergency response, machine safety, electrical safety, chemical handling, ergonomics, and other relevant topics.

· Coordinate with departmental heads for skill and safety training programs.

· Maintain training attendance, assessment records, training effectiveness, and competency records.

· Evaluate training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

4. Emergency Preparedness

· Conduct and coordinate emergency mock drills such as fire, evacuation, chemical leakage, and other applicable emergencies.

· Ensure emergency exits, fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, emergency equipment, and safety signage are properly maintained.

· Support the preparation and implementation of the Emergency Response Plan.

· Coordinate with the Emergency Response Team during drills and actual emergencies.

PPE & Safety Equipment

· Ensure availability and proper usage of PPE across departments.

· Conduct PPE compliance audits and awareness programs.

· Monitor condition and replacement of safety equipment.

· Maintain PPE issue and inspection records.

6. Statutory & Audit Compliance

· Support compliance with applicable safety and environmental statutory requirements.

· Coordinate safety-related activities during ISO 45001, ISO 14001, customer, and other external/internal audits.

· Prepare required documents and evidence for audits.

· Track and close audit observations related to safety and training.

7. Contractor Safety

· Monitor safety compliance of contract workers and contractors.

· Ensure contractor employees receive safety induction before deployment.

· Conduct periodic safety awareness and toolbox training for contract manpower.

· Monitor PPE usage and safe working practices among contractors.

Required Skills & Competencies

· Good knowledge of industrial safety practices and manufacturing safety.

· Knowledge of PPE, Fire Safety, Machine Safety, Electrical Safety, and Emergency Response.

· Good communication and training/presentation skills.

· Ability to conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.

· Knowledge of RCA and CAPA.

· Positive documentation and reporting skills.

· Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

· Ability to coordinate effectively with production, maintenance, quality, HR, and other departments.

Qualification

· Diploma / Degree in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant discipline.

· Safety certification as applicable to the role will be preferred.

Preferred Experience

· 3–5 years of experience in Safety, Training & Development in an automotive/manufacturing environment.

· Experience in handling contract manpower safety and industrial safety audits will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
