Position: Safety Engineer

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with ADIS/PDIS from State Government (Mandatory)

Job Responsibilities

- Ensure implementation and compliance of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards across the project site.

- Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

- Monitor construction activities and ensure adherence to safety procedures, work permits, and statutory requirements.

- Review and approve Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.

- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, training programs, and awareness sessions for project personnel.

- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

- Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with project HSE requirements.

- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and implementation of safe work practices.

- Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and ensure availability of emergency response resources.

- Maintain HSE records, reports, accident statistics,



and compliance documentation.

- Liaise with project teams, contractors, and management to promote a solid safety culture on site.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory regulations, safety standards, and organizational HSE policies.

Key Requirements

- 5 to 10 years of experience in safety management for industrial construction projects.

- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

- ADIS/PDIS from a State Government-recognized institution is mandatory.

- Experience in industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, refinery, petrochemical, power, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.

- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, permit systems, hazard identification, and risk management.

- Hands-on experience in conducting safety audits, incident investigation, and safety trainings.

- Familiarity with statutory safety regulations and industrial HSE requirements.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.

- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and contractors.

- Willingness to work at the project site in Jamnagar.
