The Role Mandate As Research Engineer - CI/CD, Yocto for Advanced System Integration, you will implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, build automation and integration workflows for embedded Linux platforms. You will develop Python and Shell automation, improve build performance and pipeline stability, manage Git-based workflows, and debug compilation, linker, build and integration issues in collaboration with architects and engineers.

Key ResponsibilitiesCI/CD and Build Automation

- Implement, maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines for embedded Linux build systems.




- Develop Python and Shell scripts for build modules, automation utilities, log processing and integration workflows.
- Manage Git-based development, branching and CI/CD integration workflows.
- Improve pipeline stability, build reliability, failure recovery and automation maintainability.
- Work with Jenkins and embedded build environments to support repeatable integration and validation activities.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to translate build and integration needs into working automation.

Build Engineering and Integration

- Improve build performance and contribute to build-time reduction initiatives.
- Debug embedded Linux build and integration issues across compilation, linking, packaging and configuration stages.
- Use C/C++ knowledge and GDB to trace and patch compilation, linker and system-integration failures.
- Work with build tools such as CMake and Bazel in large-scale embedded build environments.
- Support Yocto/OpenEmbedded activities involving BitBake, layers and recipes where required.
- Troubleshoot embedded Linux graphics and media stack issues (e.g., rendering, playback, HW acceleration).
- Support integration workflows and platform stability while working with BSP, platform and product teams.

How the Role Works The Research Engineer works with Research Architects, platform engineers and embedded-system specialists to implement automation, resolve failures and improve build and integration workflows. The role is execution-focused and requires practical scripting, debugging and continuous-improvement capability.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

- 4-8 years of experience in Embedded Linux, build systems, CI/CD or platform integration.
- Experience in embedded build automation, integration workflows, build tools and embedded build environments.
- Understanding of Linux internals on embedded platforms.
- Strong practical experience in build automation using Python,



Shell scripting and Git.
- Experience with Jenkins or comparable CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
- C/C++ debugging background covering compilation, linker and integration failures.
- Hands-on exposure to CMake, Bazel and debugging tools such as GDB.
- Ability to troubleshoot embedded Linux graphics and media-stack issues, including rendering, playback and hardware acceleration.

Preferred / Good to Have

- Experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded, including BitBake, layers and recipes.
- Experience on embedded platforms such as TV, set-top box, automotive or similar products.
- Exposure to BSP bring-up and low-level embedded Linux debugging.
- Experience with large-scale build-system or platform migration activities.
- Exposure to graphics or media-stack integration and troubleshooting on embedded Linux.

Educational Qualification Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
