Job Summary The Regional Sourcing & Quality Engineer administers the new product introduction process end to end: identifying new sources, obtaining quotes from multiple suppliers, qualifying new vendors, and resolving the technical aspects of part manufacturing. This role performs quality control at supplier sites to prevent defective parts from shipping to customers and to minimize quality issues discovered after delivery.

A background in precision metal components (CNC machining, metal casting, forging, extrusion, sheet metal stamping) and precision plastic components (injection molding, thermoforming, blow molding, 3D printing) is highly desirable, along with experience finding and auditing new suppliers.





Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Identify, assess, and qualify new vendors when a project requires alternate sourcing.
- Review customer mechanical drawings, identify process requirements, and recommend manufacturability improvements.
- Request competitive quotes from current suppliers or identify new suppliers when required.
- Conduct supplier audits of current and prospective suppliers to assess capabilities and quality levels.
- Ability to develop, review, and constructively challenge inspection plans, measurement methods, and measurement system suitability with suppliers and customers.
- Coordinate the validation of parts as required by customers by performing on-site inspections and witnessing relevant tests.
- Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Provide engineering support by answering technical questions and fulfilling information requests.
- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with applicable government regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by delivering on-time results as needed.
- Travel within India as required for on-site audits, quality checks, project follow-up, and business visits as required

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Background in die casting, CNC machining, and metal fabrication.
- Experience and training in GD&T;, with hands-on metrology experience.
- Strong mechanical design skills.
- Ability to prepare and present technical information and reports.
- Hands-on experience with PPAP documentation.
- Familiar with the ISO 9001 standard
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Skilled-level English, written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

- Superior computer skills, with experience in CAD
- ISO Audit training or certification
- 5+ years of relevant experience
