WHAT YOU WILL DO

Own the regional P&L; covering 2–4 states; drive annual revenue targets.

Develop and execute a multi-state Go-To-Market strategy spanning DISCOMs, municipal utilities, EPCs, and AMISP partners

Build and deepen C-level and senior relationships with DISCOM leadership (MD, Director-IT, Chief Engineers), state energy department officials, and EPC procurement heads

Identify, qualify, and close large-scale opportunities across BCITS's full product suite: b Smart MDM, UHES, ORMS, GIS, Billing/CIS, AMI Turnkey, Water Metering, Gas Metering, and Cloud AMI

Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles: early engagement, solution shaping, RFP/tender response, POC/pilot management, commercial negotiation, and contract execution

Develop strategic account plans for each state DISCOM and major EPC partner; build and maintain a qualified pipeline of 3x annual target

Track RDSS and SMNP tender pipelines across all states in the region; engage proactively before formal RFPs

Represent BCITS at national and regional industry events: ISGW, DUM India, ELECRAMA, DISTRIBUTECH India

Collaborate with delivery, product, and leadership teams in Bangalore to ensure smooth project transitions and customer success

WHAT YOU BRING





10+ years of progressive B2 B/enterprise sales experience in utility IT, smart grid, AMI, or power-sector technology

Minimum 5+ years directly selling utility software solutions (MDM, HES, billing/CIS, GIS, CRM, AMI) to state DISCOMs or through EPC/AMISP channels

Proven track record of closing Major deals within government / PSU / utility segments

Strong understanding of RDSS scheme, SMNP framework, DISCOM procurement processes, PFC/REC financing, and BOO/BOOM models

B. Tech / B. E. in Electrical, Electronics, IT, or Computer Science (MBA strongly preferred)

Established relationships with DISCOMs and/or EPCs in any Indian region

Willingness to be based at a regional hub with 60–70% multi-state travel

Must-Have Requirements

Nice-to-Have Requirements

Experience with PFC, REC, RECPDCL, or state nodal agencies for centrally sponsored utility schemes

Exposure to selling Saa S/cloud-based utility solutions alongside traditional on-premise deployments

Cross-vertical experience spanning power, water, and gas utility solutions
