Role Overview The Retail Broking Head will define and drive the growth strategy for the zone across equity broking, distribution, and advisory products, while ensuring consistent performance in client acquisition, retention, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the retail broking growth strategy for the zone, aligned with overall organizational objectives

Own end-to-end zonal P&L;, including revenue growth, cost management, and profitability across all branches

Build, lead, and review a network of branch heads, ensuring accountability for individual branch targets and performance

Drive expansion of the zone's footprint through new branches, franchisees, and channel partners

Set direction for cross-sell of broking, advisory, and third-party distribution products across the zone

Establish and oversee governance around client servicing standards, escalation handling, and regulatory/compliance discipline

Recruit, develop, and retain talent within the zone, building a strong second line of leadership at the branch level

Track zonal performance through structured MIS and course-correct strategy based on market and competitive trends

Represent the zone in leadership discussions and serve as the key liaison between zonal operations and senior management





Candidate Requirements

12–15 years of experience in the stock broking / financial services industry

Demonstrated experience leading multiple branches or a zone/region with full P&L; ownership

Experience managing a multi-branch, multi-city network, including both owned and franchisee/channel partner branches

Experience managing a large frontline team, including branch heads, relationship managers, and sales staff

Full accountability for a sizeable annual revenue/brokerage book at the zonal level, with a demonstrated history of year-on-year growth

Strong command over equity markets, broking, and investment distribution products

Direct exposure to SEBI/exchange audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews at a senior leadership capacity

Experience collaborating closely with product, compliance, operations, and risk teams to scale the business responsibly

Proven track record of building and leading high-performing leadership teams across multiple locations

Career progression from client-facing broking roles into branch and subsequently zonal leadership

Robust strategic and business-planning orientation, with the ability to operate independently at a senior level
