About the Role:-

We're looking for an R&D; Manager who can bridge classical Ayurvedic knowledge with modern pharmaceutical rigor, someone who can take a formulation from concept to compliant, scalable, market-ready product.

This role owns product development end-to-end: research, formulation, testing, regulatory compliance and working closely with manufacturing to bring it to life.

What You'll Do:-

- Lead formulation development for new products, from Ayurvedic principle to finished, stable, market-ready formula.
- Own the R&D; lifecycle: ideation, ingredient sourcing, lab trials, stability testing, and scale-up to production.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with AYUSH, FSSAI, and relevant GMP standards for all formulations.
- Evaluate and validate raw materials, working with vendors and labs to ensure quality and consistency.
- Document formulations thoroughly: composition, process, testing data, and compliance records.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and marketing teams to ensure formulations are both effective and commercially viable.
- Stay current on Ayurvedic and pharmaceutical research, identifying new ingredients, actives, or delivery formats worth exploring.
- Troubleshoot production-stage issues related to formulation stability, texture, or efficacy.

Required Qualifications:-





- BAMS degree (mandatory); additional B.Pharm/M.Pharm or equivalent pharmaceutical qualification strongly preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience in Ayurvedic or nutraceutical formulation development, ideally in a D2C or FMCG environment.
- Working knowledge of AYUSH and FSSAI regulatory requirements for product approval and labeling.
- Hands-on lab experience: formulation trials, stability testing, and documentation
- Understanding of both classical Ayurvedic texts/principles and modern pharmaceutical standards, able to translate between them.
- Robust attention to detail, especially around compliance documentation and quality control.

Preferred Skills & Experience:-

- Experience with personal care or skincare formulations.
- Prior experience working with third-party manufacturing units.
- Exposure to ingredient sourcing and vendor negotiation.
- Published research or patents in Ayurvedic/pharmaceutical formulation.
