Role & responsibilities :

- Review tender documents, contract agreements, BOQ, specifications, drawings, and addenda.

- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from approved construction drawings and design revisions.

- Develop cost estimates, rate analyses, unit-rate build-ups, and project budgets.

- Maintain the master BOQ and update quantities based on revised drawings, approved variations, and site information.

- Review site measurement sheets and verify quantities submitted by site engineers and subcontractors.

- Prepare monthly interim payment applications, running account bills, and supporting documents for client submission.

- Monitor payment status, certified amounts, deductions, retention, advances, and outstanding receivables.

- Prepare and evaluate variation orders, additional-work proposals, omissions, and change notices.

- Compile contractual substantiation for variations, claims, and extension-of-time submissions in coordination with the contracts and planning teams.

- Track actual costs against approved budget, tender allowance, BOQ quantities, and target cost.

- Identify quantity, cost, payment, and contractual risks and report them to the Commercial Manager.





- Review supplier and subcontractor quotations; prepare comparative statements and commercial recommendations.

- Prepare subcontractor scope of work, BOQs, payment certificates, variation assessments, and final-account documentation.

- Co-ordinate with procurement teams for material requisitions, purchase orders, delivery records, invoice verification, and quantity reconciliation.

- Maintain registers for contracts, payment certificates, variations, claims, correspondence, drawings, approvals, and final accounts.

- Liaise with site engineers, planning engineers, design consultants, project managers, clients, and subcontractors to resolve commercial and measurement issues.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

- 1012 years of relevant experience in quantity surveyor within the roads, highways, infrastructure, EPC, or civil construction industry.

- Solid experience in road and highway construction projects.

- Strong understanding of MORTH/MoRTH, IRC and IS standards.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

- Robust communication and reporting skills.

- Willingness to travel Pan India based on project requirements.
