ROLE PURPOSE The Quality Engineer Civil shall support the Quality Head in ensuring that civil works are executed right the first time and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and project quality requirements.

The position is primarily field-oriented. The Quality Engineer is expected to identify quality concerns at the appropriate stagebefore work is progressed, concealed or results in avoidable rework.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Inspect ongoing civil works including earthworks, foundations, reinforcement, formwork, RCC/concreting, masonry, waterproofing, flooring, finishing, roads/drainage, PEB interfaces and associated infrastructure works.
- Verify work against the latest approved drawings, specifications, Method Statements, checklists and applicable ITP requirements.
- Ensure mandatory inspections, Hold/Witness points and approvals are completed before concreting, concealment or progression of work.
- Monitor concrete quality controls including reinforcement/formwork readiness, slump, cube sampling, curing, test results and traceability.
- Inspect incoming construction materials for approved make/specification, condition, certificates/test reports and technical acceptance; ensure rejected or held material is not inadvertently used.




- Coordinate RFI/WIR inspections with the Client/PMC/Consultant and ensure internal readiness before offering work for external inspection.
- Coordinate required field/laboratory testing and ensure samples, test results and calibration records remain traceable.
- Identify non-conforming work/material, support NCR/quality observations, follow up corrective action, re-inspect and maintain closure evidence.
- Coordinate civil interfaces with PEB/structural and MEP works, particularly foundations, anchor bolts, sleeves, openings, embedded items, equipment plinths, penetrations and waterproofing interfaces.
- Maintain essential quality records as work progresses, including inspection records, checklists, test reports, material records, NCRs and punch/snag closure.
- Support final snagging, quality dossier compilation and project handover.
- Escalate significant, repeated or unresolved quality issues promptly to the Quality Head.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITY & AUTHORITY The execution team remains responsible for producing quality work; the Quality Engineer verifies compliance and provides quality assurance/control. The Quality Engineer may identify and report non-conforming work/material, require prescribed inspections before work proceeds, recommend holding work where mandatory quality controls have not been completed,



and seek re-inspection/re-testing.

Major technical deviations, design changes, concessions and material substitutions requiring technical approval shall be escalated through the approved authority chain and shall not be independently accepted by the Quality Engineer.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES The candidate should have practical site QA/QC experience in civil construction, preferably in large industrial, Data Centre, multistorey or PEB projects, with working knowledge of:
