Quality Control & Compliance Executive – RTE / Frozen FoodsDepartment: Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Industry: Ready-to-Eat (RTE) / Ready-to-Cook (RTC) / Frozen Food Manufacturing

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Quality Control & Compliance skilled to manage quality assurance, food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality control activities across our RTE and frozen food manufacturing operations.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that raw materials, production processes, finished products, hygiene standards, documentation, and dispatches consistently meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Control

- Monitor quality of incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and ingredients.
- Conduct in-process quality checks during production.
- Inspect finished products before release and dispatch.
- Monitor product parameters such as weight, appearance, texture, temperature, moisture and other applicable specifications.
- Maintain product specifications and quality standards.
- Handle product deviations, rejections, complaints and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper traceability of raw materials, batches and finished products.

2. Food Safety & Hygiene

- Implement and monitor GMP, GHP, HACCP and food safety practices throughout the plant.
- Conduct daily hygiene and sanitation inspections.
- Monitor personal hygiene and employee compliance.
- Verify cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor pest-control activities and follow up on observations.
- Ensure proper control of foreign-body, allergen and contamination risks.
- Monitor cold-chain and temperature-control requirements.

3. Regulatory Compliance





- Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI regulations and food safety requirements.
- Maintain statutory and regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate with external laboratories, auditors and regulatory authorities when required.
- Maintain records required for inspections and audits.
- Keep the plant updated on changes in applicable food safety and regulatory requirements.

4. Documentation & Records

- Maintain QC reports, production quality records and batch records.
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, SSOPs, specifications and checklists.
- Maintain CCP/OPRP monitoring records wherever applicable.
- Maintain calibration records for weighing scales, thermometers and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain records for cleaning, sanitation, pest control, water quality and environmental monitoring.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports.

5. Audits & Compliance

- Conduct internal quality and hygiene audits.
- Prepare the plant for customer, third-party and regulatory audits.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Track audit observations until closure.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific quality requirements.

6. Product Development Support

- Support trials and new product development from a quality and food-safety perspective.
- Review product formulations, raw materials and process parameters.
- Assist in shelf-life studies and product validation.
- Coordinate with production during product trials and scale-up.

7. Customer Complaints

- Investigate customer complaints and quality issues.




- Conduct root-cause analysis using appropriate methods.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain complaint records and closure reports.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing.
- Experience in RTE, RTC, frozen food, processed food or FMCG food manufacturing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GHP, FSSAI and food safety systems.
- Knowledge of quality documentation, audits, CAPA and traceability.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/plant environment.

Preferred CertificationsCandidates with certifications/training in the following will be preferred:
- HACCP
- ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000
- Internal Auditor – Food Safety Management System
- GMP & GHP
- FSSAI / Food Safety Supervisor training
- Food microbiology / laboratory testing

Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should be hands-on, detail-oriented and capable of independently managing quality and compliance activities in a food manufacturing plant. The person should be comfortable working closely with Production, Stores, Procurement, Maintenance and Management teams. Salary: As per experience and industry standards
