We are hiring on behalf of a fast-growing D2C health and wellness brand for a QA Engineer role based in Surat.Our client is focused on building a scalable growth engine through data-driven experimentation, user behaviour analysis, and conversion optimisation across the customer journey.

Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our technology team in Surat and take ownership of quality across our growing portfolio of digital products.

We build customer-facing and internal web applications, mobile applications, backend services, APIs, ERP solutions, and business integrations.

We are looking for someone who can go beyond executing predefined test cases someone who can independently understand a product, identify risks and edge cases, investigate issues technically, automate repetitive testing, and help the engineering team ship reliable software.

Our engineering team actively uses AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Kiro, and we expect the QA Engineer to be comfortable using AI tools as part of their day-to-day QA and engineering workflow.

What You'll Do

- Test internal and customer-facing web applications.
- Test Flutter-based mobile applications across Android and iOS.
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Test REST APIs independently from the frontend.
- Validate complete business workflows across multiple systems.
- Test authentication, authorization, roles, permissions, and session behaviour.
- Validate application behaviour across browsers, devices, screen sizes, and different network conditions.
- Verify data consistency between applications, APIs, databases, ERPNext, and integrated systems.
- Investigate defects using browser developer tools, API responses, logs, SQL queries, and application behaviour.




- Create clear, reproducible, and technically useful bug reports.
- Build and maintain automated tests for critical workflows.
- Identify regression risks and improve automated regression coverage.
- Participate in feature reviews, release validation, and production verification.
- Work closely with developers and product/business teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Continuously improve our QA processes, tools, and testing practices.

Must have skill

- Ability to understand basic frontend and backend application behaviour.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience testing modern web applications..
- Experience testing mobile applications..
- Strong understanding of functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Required Skill

- Playwright, Appium or Maestro, Flutter application testing
- TypeScript / JavaScript, Python, Next.js or NestJS
- PostgreSQL, ERPNext / Frappe, CI/CD pipelines
- Performance testing using k6, JMeter, or similar tools
- Ecommerce applications, Payment and checkout systems, Shopify or marketplace integrations, AWS, Monitoring and observability tools

Test Automation

Automation is an important part of this role.

You should have hands-on experience with at least one modern testing or automation framework such as:

- Playwright
- Cypress
- Selenium
- Appium
- Maestro
- Flutter integration testing

You should be comfortable building automated coverage for critical customer journeys, APIs, authentication, forms, transactions, orders, and important business workflows. API & Data Testing

You should be comfortable working beyond the UI.

This includes





- REST API testing
- JSON request and response validation
- Authentication and authorization
- Error and failure scenarios
- Webhooks and integrations
- Timeouts and retries
- Duplicate requests
- Data synchronization
- Basic SQL queries
- PostgreSQL data validation

You should be able to investigate whether an issue originates from the frontend, backend, API, database, ERP, or an external integration. AI-Assisted QA

AI-assisted working is part of our engineering culture.

Our team currently uses tools including Claude Code and Kiro, and we expect the QA Engineer to use AI effectively for activities such as:

- Understanding requirements and code changes
- Generating and improving test scenarios
- Identifying edge cases
- Building and maintaining automated tests
- Generating API test cases
- Creating test data
- Analysing logs and errors
- Investigating defects
- Writing SQL queries for validation
- Understanding unfamiliar code
- Identifying potential regression areas
- Improving QA documentation

Experience with Claude Code or Kiro is an advantage, but experience with a specific AI tool is not mandatory. What matters is the ability to use AI effectively while independently reviewing and validating its output.
