Naypra Buildtech Pvt. Ltd. is a growing construction and infrastructure company engaged in the execution of large-scale residential and commercial projects. We are looking for a competent and detail-oriented QS Engineer to join our project team and manage quantity surveying, billing, cost control, measurements, and commercial documentation.

Job Summary The QS Engineer will be responsible for quantity estimation, rate analysis, measurement, subcontractor billing, client billing, BOQ management, cost monitoring, reconciliation, and commercial documentation for construction projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of civil construction, RCC works, structural quantities, BOQ, billing, rate analysis, and Excel and should be capable of independently handling QS activities at project sites.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying & Measurement

- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from approved drawings and BOQs.
- Calculate quantities for RCC, reinforcement steel, shuttering, masonry, plastering and other civil works.
- Verify site measurements against drawings and BOQ quantities.
- Maintain measurement books and quantity records.
- Identify quantity variations and additional/deviation works.
- Coordinate with the Engineering and Site Execution teams for accurate measurements.

Billing & Commercial

- Prepare Client RA Bills based on actual site measurements and executed quantities.
- Prepare and verify Subcontractor Bills.
- Check subcontractor measurements and supporting documents.
- Ensure billing is prepared as per work orders, BOQ and contract conditions.
- Track bill submissions, certifications, deductions and payments.
- Maintain proper billing records and supporting documentation.

BOQ & Rate Analysis

- Prepare and review BOQs.




- Prepare detailed rate analysis for civil construction activities.
- Analyse material, labour, equipment and other cost components.
- Assist in preparation of quotations and commercial proposals.
- Identify rate variations and commercial implications.
- Support tender estimation and bid preparation.

Cost Control & Reconciliation

- Monitor project quantities and costs against the approved BOQ/budget.
- Prepare material reconciliation for cement, steel, concrete and other major materials.
- Identify quantity/cost overruns and report them to management.
- Maintain project cost control reports.
- Assist in forecasting project quantities and commercial requirements.

Project Coordination

- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Planning Engineers, Billing Engineers, Store and Accounts teams.
- Review drawings and technical documents for quantity implications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors regarding measurements, billing and quantity disputes.
- Participate in site measurements and joint measurements with clients/subcontractors.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain updated BOQ, measurement sheets, billing statements and reconciliation reports.
- Prepare weekly/monthly quantity and commercial reports.
- Maintain variation, extra-item and deviation statements.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit and management review.
- Ensure all QS records are updated and properly filed.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Quantity Surveying and Civil Construction.
- Good understanding of RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry and finishing works.
- Solid knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity take-off.
- Experience in Client Billing and Subcontractor Billing.
- Good knowledge of Rate Analysis.




- Experience in Material Reconciliation.
- Good understanding of construction drawings.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD for drawing reading and quantity extraction.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.

Educational Qualification B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Experience

3-6 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying / Billing / Commercial functions in the construction industry.

Candidates with experience in residential high-rise, commercial or large-scale building projects will be preferred.

What We Expect The candidate should be able to independently handle day-to-day QS activities at a construction project and should have practical knowledge of site measurements, quantity calculations, billing, BOQ, reconciliation and commercial documentation. Candidates who have worked primarily in office-based estimation without practical construction-site exposure may not be suitable for this position.

Job Location : Bengaluru, Karnataka The position requires regular coordination with project sites and may involve working at project locations within Bengaluru.
