Main Purpose

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead Professional to head our offshore quality assurance team in Bangalore. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of test analysts and QA engineers, work closely with the Global QA Manager to develop and implement QA processes across multiple product workstreams, and act as the primary QA point of contact for onshore stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines hands-on testing expertise with strong people leadership, is comfortable managing competing priorities across projects, and is passionate about building a culture of quality within a fast-paced, collaborative offshore delivery environment.

Specific Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and test analysts, overseeing day to-day test planning, execution, and workload distribution.
- Work closely with the QA Manager to develop, standardise, and roll out QA

processes across the offshore team, ensuring alignment with global quality standards.
- Define and implement test strategy and test plans covering functional,

integration, regression, performance, and acceptance testing across product releases.
- Own the defect management lifecycle end to end - triage, prioritisation, and





tracking to resolution in collaboration with development and product teams.
- Partner with onshore product managers, architects, and client stakeholders to

translate requirements into comprehensive test coverage.
- Drive the team's test automation strategy, evaluating and implementing

frameworks and tools to grow automated coverage and shorten regression cycles.
- Establish and report QA metrics - test coverage, defect density, escape rate,

and cycle time - to leadership and client stakeholders.
- Manage release readiness sign-off, ensuring quality gates are consistently met

before production deployment.
- Coordinate QA resource planning and capacity allocation across multiple

concurrent client projects.
- Champion Agile/Scrum QA best practices, including sprint-level test planning

and continuous-improvement retrospectives.
- Maintain and continuously improve test documentation, QA standards, and

knowledge repositories for the offshore team. Skill Requirements - Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related

field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 8+ years of experience in software QA/testing, including at least 2 years in a QA

lead or team lead capacity
- Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of test

engineers/analysts within an offshore delivery model.
- Strong command of testing methodologies, including functional, integration,

regression, performance, and UAT testing.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and

version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Working knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting (e.g.,

Selenium, Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar).




- Experience defining test strategy documents and building/reporting QA

metrics for leadership and clients.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging directly with

onshore (UK/US) clients.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, able to collaborate effectively

with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing

requirements across multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ceremonies

Skill Requirements - Preferable:
- DevOps methodology experience, including CI/CD pipeline integration for

automated testing.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA/testing certification.
- Maximo knowledge required to help plan and execute numerous projects.
- Experience working within a cost-plus offshore delivery or managed-services

model.
