About the Role​We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer to own the quality of our web product. You'll build and maintain our automated test suite using Playwright and Python, and you'll work closely with developers and product to catch issues early and ship with confidence. We care about automation, but we also want someone with a good instinct for exploratory testing and for knowing what's worth automating.

What You'll Do• ​Design, build, and maintain end-to-end UI test suites using Playwright with Python and pytest, and keep them fast, parallel, and reliable.

- ​Write automated API tests for REST services with Playwright's API testing or Python libraries like requests or httpx.
- ​Investigate failures and fix flaky tests, using Playwright traces, screenshots, and logs to get to the root cause.
- ​Write test plans and test cases for recent features, and do exploratory and manual testing where automation isn't the right tool.
- ​Run regression, smoke, and cross-browser testing (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit) before releases.
- ​File clear, reproducible bug reports and work with developers to verify fixes.
- ​Review requirements and designs early to flag testability issues and edge cases.
- ​Help shape our overall test strategy, coverage, and quality metrics.

Must-Haves• ​[3+] years of QA experience,



with at least [2] years in test automation.
- ​Strong Python skills: you write clean, maintainable, reusable test code, not just scripts that happen to pass.
- ​Hands-on Playwright experience (Python), including locators, auto-waiting, fixtures, authentication/storage state, network interception, and tracing.
- ​Solid experience with pytest: fixtures, parametrization, markers, and plugins.
- ​Experience with the Page Object Model or similar patterns for structuring test frameworks.
- ​Strong testing fundamentals: test design techniques (boundary values, equivalence partitioning), the bug lifecycle, and the difference between smoke, sanity, and regression testing.
- ​Experience testing REST APIs.
- ​Comfortable with Git.
- ​Experience with a bug tracker like Jira or Linear.
- ​Clear written and verbal communication. You can explain a bug so a developer can reproduce it on the first try.

Nice to Have• ​Experience with Docker and running tests in containers.
- ​Basic SQL for test data setup and validation.
- ​Performance testing (Locust, k6, or JMeter).
- ​Accessibility or visual regression testing.
- ​Cloud testing platforms like BrowserStack or LambdaTest.
- ​Mobile web or native app testing.
