About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Backend Developer to join our dynamic team at UST. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions that support our digital initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, project managers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software products.

The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, and Flask, along with experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Python backend development.
- Proficiency in Python programming language and hands-on experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Django, and Flask.




- Strong understanding of REST API development and microservices architecture.
- Experience with database management systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git and experience working within Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of application performance monitoring tools, particularly AppDynamics.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and Software Engineering principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and analyze performance issues effectively.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, and Flask.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement microservices architecture to ensure scalable and maintainable systems.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance application functionality.
- Optimize application performance through code tuning, database optimization, and effective monitoring.
- Utilize AppDynamics and other observability tools to monitor application health, analyze performance metrics, and troubleshoot issues.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.




- Maintain documentation of system architecture, APIs, and development processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve development standards.
