Star Ashiyana is seeking a highly capable and intellectual Purchase Manager with strong expertise in material procurement, vendor management, and commercial negotiations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high quality standards and timely availability of materials for projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for construction/site materials
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost efficiency
- Ensure procurement of quality materials in line with project requirements
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and avoid stock shortages or excess
- Coordinate closely with site, project, and accounts teams
- Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, and related documentation
- Track deliveries and ensure timely availability of materials at site
- Conduct market research to explore current vendors and cost-saving opportunities
- Monitor vendor performance and maintain long-term relationships
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of construction materials (cement, steel, fittings, etc.)
- Excellent negotiation and cost optimization skills
- Strong vendor management and relationship-building abilities
- Good analytical thinking and decision-making capability
- Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement systems
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Graduate in any discipline (relevant certification is an added advantage)
- 4–5 years of experience in procurement/purchase (construction/real estate preferred)
- Smart, proactive, and detail-oriented individual
- High level of integrity and accountability
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
