Role Description The Purchase Specialist is a full-time, in office role based in Pune City. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, and processing purchase orders in line with project requirements and company policies.

The Purchase

Specialist will monitor inventory levels, coordinate with project and design teams to understand material specifications, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate purchasing records, tracking order status, resolving discrepancies with vendors, and contributing to cost optimization initiatives. The role also involves analyzing purchasing data,



supporting vendor evaluation, and ensuring compliance with sustainability and quality standards aligned with abc’s design and net zero carbon objectives.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of purchasing processes and purchasing practices, with the ability to apply structured purchasing methodologies.
- Experience in purchase management, including supplier coordination, vendor evaluation, and purchasing strategy implementation.
- Hands-on experience with purchase orders and related documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely approvals.
- Well-developed analytical skills to review quotations, compare costs, assess supplier performance, and support data-driven decisions.
- Experience in construction, architecture, or related industries is an advantage, particularly in materials and services relevant to building projects.
- Proficiency in procurement or ERP software and standard office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the capacity to manage multiple orders and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
- Relevant diploma or degree in supply chain management, business, commerce, or a related field is preferred.
