As a Purchase Manager in the Industrial Automation sector, you will be responsible for managing the procurement activities of key materials and components required for automation systems and machinery. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely acquisition, cost-effective sourcing, and proper documentation for a wide range of parts and commodities. The position requires close coordination with both suppliers and internal departments to streamline the procurement process, manage purchase orders (POs), and ensure smooth delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the procurement process for critical parts and components, including automation equipment, sensors, actuators, and other materials essential for industrial automation systems.

- Monitor and track Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) by converting them in a timely manner to ensure on-time material availability for production needs.

- Raise Requests for Quotations (RFQs) from vendors, evaluate quotes, and release Purchase Orders (POs) in the SAP system. Ensure accurate documentation for all procurement activities.

- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply-related issues.



Maintain effective communication for updates on lead times, stock levels, and order status.

- Monitor procurement costs and suggest measures to reduce expenses without compromising quality. Ensure adherence to the procurement budget and provide regular updates.

- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to stay updated on the latest trends and network with potential clients.

- Manage relationships with existing suppliers and assist in identifying recent vendors to optimize the sourcing of automation parts. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably in the industrial automation or manufacturing sectors.

- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and vendor coordination.

- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Familiarity with quality control processes and QCP documentation.
