Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchase Manager for a PEB manufacturing unit located in Siliguri.

The Purchase

Manager will oversee end-to-end procurement of raw materials, components, and services required for PEB production, ensuring timely availability and cost control. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating prices and contracts, issuing purchase orders, and monitoring delivery schedules. The role involves coordinating closely with production, quality, and logistics teams to align purchasing plans with project timelines and technical specifications.

The Purchase

Manager will also maintain vendor databases, track inventory levels,



review purchase reports, and implement procurement policies that support compliance, quality standards, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Solid skills in procurement and vendor management, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
- Experience in materials management and inventory control within a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in PEB or structural steel.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, material specifications, and project requirements to ensure accurate purchasing.
- Proficiency in using ERP or purchase management software, along with solid MS Excel and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of cost analysis, budgeting, and basic commercial terms related to purchasing and logistics.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with production, quality, finance, and external suppliers.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field; relevant postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar procurement role in a manufacturing unit is highly preferred.
