Role Description The Purchase Engineer (Fabrication only) role is a full time, on-site position based in Bhopal. The role involves managing end-to-end purchasing activities for fabrication-related materials, components, and services, ensuring timely availability for production and project requirements. Daily responsibilities include evaluating vendor quotations, preparing and processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and tracking deliveries to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Engineer collaborates closely with fabrication, quality, and project teams to understand technical specifications, support cost-effective sourcing, and ensure compliance with company standards and certifications. The role also requires monitoring market trends, analyzing purchase data, and contributing to purchase planning and process improvements for fabrication materials.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of purchasing processes, including vendor evaluation, quotation analysis, and procurement documentation.
- Experience in purchase management and purchase planning for fabrication materials, components, and services.
- Ability to create, review, and manage purchase orders with accuracy and attention to delivery timelines.
- Solid analytical skills to assess costs, compare suppliers, and optimize procurement decisions.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in fabrication, heavy engineering, or infrastructure-related manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of quality standards, ISO procedures, and compliance requirements in industrial procurement.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP or procurement software; strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and vendor relationship management abilities.
- Ability to work on-site in Bhopal, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple purchase activities simultaneously.
