Role Purpose To manage subcontracting and procurement activities for critical manufacturing components, ensuring competitive costing, effective vendor negotiations, quality compliance, and timely execution while driving value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

Deliverables
- Manage the subcontracting process in accordance with defined SOPs.
- Handle costing and Zero-Based Costing (ZBC) for subcontracted and machined components.
- Conduct commercial negotiations with vendors to achieve optimal cost and commercial terms.
- Manage sourcing and subcontracting of critical machining components.
- Evaluate technical requirements, including GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Identify and implement value engineering and cost optimization opportunities.
- Manage vendors involved in forming, bending, machining, and associated manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and other internal stakeholders for timely execution.
- Support vendor development and ensure adherence to required quality and delivery standards.

Non-negotiables
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 13+ years of relevant experience OR Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 9+ years of relevant experience
- Solid knowledge of subcontracting processes and SOPs
- Hands-on experience in costing / ZBC
- Strong commercial negotiation skills
- Good exposure to critical machining components and GD&T;
- Working knowledge of value engineering concepts
- Strong hands-on understanding of forming and bending processes
- Previous experience in the manufacturing industry
