Mandatory Qualification: Graduation in English / Relevant Stream + B.Ed.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and articulate PRT English Teacher to join our faculty at Sikandarpur. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English language, grammar, literature, phonics, and creative writing to primary school students (Classes 1 to 5). You will play a vital role in building a strong linguistic foundation, nurturing reading habits, and building confidence in oral and written English communication among young learners.

Key Responsibilities

- Classroom Instruction: Plan and deliver engaging, activity-based English lessons in accordance with the primary curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
- Language & Literacy Development: Focus on improving students' core foundational skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing (LSRW), alongside phonics, vocabulary building, and basic grammar.
- Creative Pedagogy: Use interactive teaching methods such as storytelling, role-plays, rhymes, reading sessions, and educational games to make learning enjoyable.
- Assessment & Progress Tracking: Design age-appropriate worksheets, tests, and homework assignments; evaluate student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a warm,



secure, encouraging, and well-disciplined environment conducive to learning for primary school children.
- Parent-Teacher Interaction: Engage with parents during Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to share updates on student progress, behavior, and academic growth.
- Co-curricular Involvement: Actively participate in school assemblies, literary competitions, cultural events, and annual day celebrations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in English (B.A. English) or relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree is strictly mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of proven experience teaching English at the Primary level (PRT) in a recognized school.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with clear pronunciation and correct grammar.
- Pedagogical Skills: Ability to handle primary age groups with patience, empathy, and high energy; familiarity with activity-based learning techniques.
