Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who can sit comfortably on both sides of the table — technical enough to hold their own with engineering and data teams, and polished enough to be the primary point of contact for clients through the life of a project. This is a hands-on delivery role, not a coordination-only role. You will own timelines, scope, quality, and the client relationship on the projects assigned to you.

Key responsibilities

Project delivery

- Own end-to-end delivery for assigned projects — planning, resourcing, sprint/milestone tracking, risk management, and go-live.
- Translate client requirements into clear, technically sound scope documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with engineering, data, design, and QA teams to sequence work, unblock dependencies, and hold delivery dates.
- Maintain project documentation: project plans, RAID logs, status trackers, change requests, and release notes.
- Track effort against estimates and flag scope creep, resourcing gaps, or timeline risks early and in writing.





Client servicing

- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients across all assigned projects.
- Run status calls, demos, walkthroughs, and review meetings; circulate minutes and action items.
- Translate technical constraints into business language for clients, and client expectations into actionable briefs for internal teams.
- Handle escalations calmly, with a clear resolution path and appropriate internal alignment before committing to anything.
- Identify opportunities for scope extension or additional engagement and flag them to leadership.

Process and governance

- Drive adoption of consistent project management practices, templates, and reporting formats across the team.
- Maintain accurate status reporting for internal leadership — weekly dashboards, delivery health, utilisation.
- Contribute to estimation and proposal inputs for new business where technical delivery feasibility is involved.

Required skills and experience

- 4–7 years of experience in project management or technical delivery roles, ideally in a technology services, digital, analytics, or product engineering workplace.
- Demonstrated technical literacy — able to read a solution architecture, understand APIs, databases, data pipelines, and web/app development cycles, and ask the right questions of an engineering team. (You do not need to code,



but you must not need everything translated for you.)
- Exposure to basic scripting (Python/SQL) or hands-on experience with no-code/low-code platforms.
- Active interest in AI and emerging technology trends, with a point of view on how they apply to client problems.
- Proven client-facing experience with direct ownership of client relationships and communication.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall approaches, and the judgment to know which fits a given engagement.
- Hands-on with project management and collaboration tools — Jira, Asana, ClickUp, Trello, MS Project, Confluence, or equivalent.
- Strong written communication: crisp emails, clear documentation, well-structured status reports.
- Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.

Good to have

- Exposure to data analytics, business intelligence, marketing technology, or AI/ML-led projects.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across creative, media, and technology functions.
- Experience managing offshore or distributed teams.
