Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Project Head to lead and manage the complete operations of commercial luxury buses, ensuring operational efficiency, passenger safety, service quality, fleet utilization, and profitability. The ideal candidate should have 15+ years of hands-on experience in bus transportation, luxury coach operations, fleet management, or commercial passenger transport.

Key Responsibilities

- Take overall responsibility for the end-to-end operation of commercial luxury buses and coaches.
- Plan and manage daily bus operations, routes, schedules, trips, and fleet deployment.
- Ensure optimum fleet utilization, vehicle availability, and operational efficiency.
- Manage drivers, supervisors, operations staff, and other field personnel.
- Monitor driver performance, attendance, discipline, and compliance with operational procedures.
- Ensure passenger safety, service standards, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance, preventive maintenance schedules, breakdowns, and repair activities in coordination with the maintenance team.
- Control fuel consumption, operating costs, route profitability, and other operational expenses.
- Develop and implement SOPs, operational processes, and service-quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, transport authorities, workshops, and other stakeholders.
- Handle operational issues, breakdowns, accidents,



delays, customer complaints, and emergency situations.
- Monitor GPS, trip performance, route adherence, vehicle movement, and real-time fleet tracking.
- Ensure compliance with RTO, Motor Vehicle Act, safety regulations, permits, fitness, insurance, and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare and review MIS reports relating to fleet utilization, revenue, fuel, maintenance, manpower, incidents, and operational performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue, reduce operational costs, and increase fleet productivity.
- Lead the implementation of new transportation projects and ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage budgets and operational targets for the assigned project.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and take corrective action where required.
- Build robust relationships with key clients and ensure adherence to agreed SLA/KPI standards.
- Ensure emergency preparedness and establish effective contingency plans for operational disruptions.

Preferred candidate profile

- 15+ years of relevant experience in commercial bus operations, luxury coach operations, fleet management, passenger transportation, or transport project management.
- Experience handling luxury buses / premium coaches / staff transportation / intercity or commercial passenger transport will be preferred.
