1. Job Purpose

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing interior projects at site as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, timelines, and client requirements.

1. Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

- Plan and execute interior fit-out works according to the project schedule.
- Coordinate day-to-day site activities and ensure work progresses as planned.
- Monitor project timelines, manpower, materials, and equipment requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned project activities.

Site Supervision

- Supervise civil, carpentry, furniture, ceiling, flooring, painting, electrical, plumbing, glass, and other interior works.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Check site measurements and dimensions before execution.
- Identify site issues and coordinate with the concerned departments for resolution.

Drawing & Technical Coordination

- Read and understand AutoCAD/shop drawings, layouts, sections, and details.
- Coordinate with the Design and Production teams for drawing clarifications.
- Ensure latest approved drawings are available at site.
- Communicate design changes and technical requirements to site teams.

Material & Manpower Coordination

- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Production, and Project teams for timely availability of materials.




- Verify material quantities and specifications at site.
- Plan manpower requirements based on project progress.
- Monitor subcontractors and workers to ensure proper utilization of resources.

Quality Control

- Ensure execution meets company quality standards and client specifications.
- Inspect workmanship at different stages of the project.
- Identify defects and ensure rectification within the required time.
- Conduct site inspections and maintain quality checklists.

Client & Contractor Coordination

- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and site representatives.
- Attend site meetings and communicate project progress.
- Resolve routine site-level issues and escalate major issues to the Project Manager.
- Maintain professional communication with clients and contractors.

Project Documentation

- Maintain daily site reports and progress reports.
- Record measurements, material consumption, manpower, and work progress.
- Maintain site instructions, inspection reports, and other project-related documents.
- Support preparation of BOQ, quantity measurements, and work completion records.

Safety & Housekeeping

- Ensure workers follow site safety procedures and PPE requirements.




- Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and protected storage of materials at site.

1. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Project completion within agreed timelines.
- Quality of executed work.
- Reduction in rework and material wastage.
- Effective manpower utilization.
- Timely material coordination.
- Client/consultant satisfaction.
- Accuracy of measurements and documentation.
- Compliance with safety requirements.
- Effective coordination with internal departments and subcontractors.

1. Required Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction, or related field.
- 2–6 years of experience in interior fit-out, commercial interiors, retail projects, or shopfitting.
- Good knowledge of interior execution and site coordination.
- Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and technical drawings.

Experience in retail outlets, commercial interiors, office fit-outs, showroom interiors, furniture/fixture installation, and shopfitting projects will be an advantage. Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹48,000.00 per month
