1. Role Purpose The Project Auditor will be responsible for auditing commercial and interior fit-out projects across Barbeque Nation restaurants. The role will focus on checking project costs, BOQs, quantities, contractor bills, material usage, work orders and project documentation to ensure accuracy, cost control and compliance with approved project scope.

2. Key Responsibilities

Project Cost & Commercial Audit

Audit project estimates, BOQs and approved budgets.

Verify quantities, rates and calculations against approved BOQs and project scope.

Check contractor and vendor bills before final approval.

Identify billing errors, excess quantities, duplicate claims and cost deviations.

Review variations and additional work against approved requirements.

Quantity & Measurement Verification

Verify site measurements against contractor bills and submitted measurement sheets.

Cross-check quantities of civil, interior, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and other project works.

Conduct sample physical verification of completed work at sites.

Identify discrepancies between actual site work and billed quantities.

Contractor & Vendor Audit

Review work orders, purchase orders, quotations and rate agreements.

Check whether billing is as per approved commercial terms.

Verify supporting documents submitted by contractors/vendors.

Identify deviations from agreed rates, scope and contractual terms.





Material & Cost Control

Check material consumption against approved quantities and project requirements.

Review material reconciliation and identify excess consumption or wastage.

Audit major project materials and equipment purchased for outlets.

Identify opportunities for cost control and reduction.

Project Documentation & Compliance

Ensure project documentation is complete and properly maintained.

Review approvals for additional works, variations and commercial changes.

Check adherence to approved project processes and internal controls.

Maintain audit observations and track closure of identified issues.

Site Audit & Reporting

Conduct periodic site audits across restaurants and project locations.

Prepare project audit reports highlighting discrepancies, financial impact and observations.

Coordinate with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, contractors and vendors for clarification.

Follow up on corrective actions and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

Escalate major commercial or process deviations to the Project Head.

4. Candidate Profile

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering preferred.

4–5 years of experience in project audit, quantity surveying, commercial audit, billing or project controls.

Experience in commercial projects, interior fit-outs, retail, hospitality, QSR or similar projects preferred.

Good understanding of BOQ, quantity take-offs, rate analysis and contractor billing.

Solid knowledge of project cost control and commercial processes.

Good working knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD.

Experience in reviewing contractor bills, work orders, purchase orders and project documentation.

Good analytical and numerical skills.

Willingness to travel to project sites and restaurants as required.

5. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should have a combination of site understanding and commercial/project audit experience and should be able to independently identify billing discrepancies, quantity variations, cost leakages and process gaps in restaurant interior fit-out projects.
